Matching corporate Programs
Many corporations offer “corporate matching” programs for employees and match their donations to their favorite charity. This is a great way to support Orphan Help Ministry and is easy to set up. Contact your HR department to set up a matching program for Orphan Help Ministry.

Volunteer opportunities
Do you feel like making a difference in the world? If you have expertise in a certain area that may be helpful to our projects or operations, or simply want to donate some time then please contact us for more information. There are many ways you can volunteer for Orphan Help Ministry. Opportunities include:

• Share your expertise and/or time
A day in the life of a volunteer…
It is difficult to be specific about your day-to-day routine, but you will get a good general feel of the orphanage by working and/or observing. Your type of work will depend on your own interests, abilities and capabilities. The most important thing you can do is to give the children lots of love, care and attention as they are coming from very traumatic backgrounds.
We are very happy if you could help us take care of the children during their free time, helping them with their homework and even doing your own lessons in the school. Your work as a volunteer may also include preparing food for the children, general cleaning and washing, bathing the children, organizing games and plays for the children, playing with the children, drawing and painting or even making music if you have skills in that area. If you are interested and feel you have the ability, you may also be asked to help with arranging fundraising for the project.
If you have an ecological or environmental project idea (run by your company or your university) feel free to make some suggestions!
As a result of your volunteer work, the orphanage, the workers and the local community will benefit directly or indirectly by having the opportunity to interact with you and all our volunteers, thus learning about a different culture and the wider world. Fresh perspectives and a different way of doing things can be of tremendous benefit to everybody - even yourself.
As a volunteer, you will gain a lot from this project. It will be an exciting, memorable adventure exploring the many diverse cultures in Uganda. Helping disadvantaged children and knowing that you made a difference to their life is very rewarding. New skills, more confidence, a greater understanding of a different culture and personal and professional development will be invaluable to take home with you after volunteering. We can also provide you with a recommendation letter when you finish volunteering or on completion of your internship.
